Mark deVille Jobson has been acting and singing his entire life and performed in theatre, cabaret, film, television, radio and commercials. It is singing and music that is his deepest passion, and in 1997 Mark released his first album,
What There Is.
Two more albums have followed,
My House, and the most recent
Through The Faith, all of which contain music
Mark describes as “songs to both open your heart and engage your mind.” Whatever style of music he is singing, from theatre to pop to folk to chants and originals, one thing remains constant: “The songs I love to sing are basically lyric driven, woven with incredible melodies; put them together and the experience is one of pure heart connection. And it’s all about THE HEART. That is what I want to offer people when I sing.”
In addition to recording, since 1994 Mark has been traveling the country bringing his music to churches, conferences, workshops, retreats, weddings, concerts, theatres, cabaret rooms and coffeehouses. Notably he has shared the stage with speakers and authors Marianne Williamson, Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn, Greg Baer, Paul Ferrini, Rev. Dr. Terry Cole-Whittaker, and musicians Jana Stanfield, David Snyder, Karen Drucker, Michael Gott, J.D. Martin, Jan Garrett and Joel Silberman.

Close to Mark’s heart is his association as a singer in the New Thought movement; he is well known throughout Religious Science and Unity. He has had the privilege to sing alongside many ministers, practitioners and healers. He is a 2003 recipient of a
Beloved Musician award from the
United Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles, California, for his contribution to the movement since 1994, and in addition to his own albums, Jobson’s singing is featured on
Live Again, the 4th album in a series of recorded broadcasts by Science of Mind founder Ernest Holmes, released in January, 2004.
In 2004 Jobson made his New York cabaret debut, performing his show,
Trust the Wind. He has brought the show to Mama Rose’s in New York City, The Gardenia Room in Los Angeles, The Mystic Note Cafe in Dallas, The Palmer House in Chicago, Adams Avenue Studio for the Arts in San Diego, Vanessie’s in Santa Fe, and First Church’s Concert Series in Las Vegas.
Mark is a member of the
Positive Music Association (PMA), which exists to promote and advance positive or “poz” music, and to see music not only as entertainment but as a means of creating positive change in the world. It is often music that heals, inspires, educates or enlightens and is life affirming and inclusive. Mark can be heard online on
Poz Radio, alongside other wonderful artists who have their music heard online.
