When the bottom falls out and it feels like God’s gone away for the summer: Walking with Trust through Loss and Grief

When the bottom falls out of life it is usually because something has abruptly changed and will never be the same. Faced with loss and grief, we are given one of life’s most precious spiritual moments: we get to see our relationship with the Divine. What do I really believe, right now, when the bottom is falling out and my life seems to be falling apart? Am I willing to give myself to what I believe? Loss is a call to Wholeness, a call to accept more than we ever thought possible, and a call to see ourselves entrusted to Life for our highest good. Through prayers and chanting, we will speak and sing the stages of this call in order that we might walk through any experience of loss with Trust, Acceptance and Love.

Levels and Languages of Love
Presented by Mark deVille Jobson and Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn

Dr. Kathy Hearn and Mark deVille Jobson explore love as a journey of initiation through the energy charkas of the body, moving from the root realization of oneness with all life to the crowning experience of merging with the Divine. To be a rich vibration of Love is to love with all parts of the self; for God to flow through us freely and unobstructed, we must make sure that our channels are open. Words and music guide this deep experience of opening, balancing and illumination. When our energies are aligned and balanced, the love that is our truest self radiates through us and into our relationships.

Come release barriers to the full and free expression of Love through you, and reveal yourself as a Living, Loving Temple of Spirit.

Mark and Rev. Dr. Kathy have been working together since 1994 and created process oriented experiences for church services, conferences and retreats.  This workshop was first presented at the annual Asilomar retreat in Northern California in 2003. Their work offers an experience of connection to the self through meditation, music, inspired texts, and an opportunity for deep process.

Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn is the Community Spiritual Leader of United Church of Religious Science. She was ordained in 1985, and founded Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego. She travels throughout the United States and around the world sharing the Global Heart Vision.
